Anne Lohar was the mother of a friend who sailed out of our lives while indulging in his favorite sport, paragliding.  After his death I started a communication with his mother and she became a surrogate mother to me.  Anne died in 2007, but by this time I had been posting my letters to her as a blog/journal and it had become such an integral part of my life that I just kept writing to her.
